1st 128K took 734 ms = 178572 Bytes/sec = approx 1486 kbits/sec
2nd 128K took 719 ms = 182298 Bytes/sec = approx 1517 kbits/sec
3rd 128K took 703 ms = 186447 Bytes/sec = approx 1551 kbits/sec
4th 128K took 719 ms = 182298 Bytes/sec = approx 1517 kbits/sec

YEY got the speed upgrade here in basingstoke (if you havent got it yet try rebooting the modem)

Just a quick Thanks to the peeps of NTL who made it happen.

I'm sure there are a few happy punters now with the upgrade, myself included.

Already have, why am I the one defending NTL over the last few days about this upgrade, (by my standards anyway) and then find out my area didnt get done yesterday, its not like its a bad area, far from it.

Anyone here know how much of the country got done yesterday? Is this fear that Im going to wait until the 12th of Never unfounded....

Successful overnight upgrade here in Norwich to 750. The process seems to have been a technical success (well done techies), but oh what a failure in customer communication. Just think how much customer gratitude and positive publicity could have been generated if only NTL had handled this aspect with more competence.

Just a bit, this upgrade wasnt even listed on the service status page, let alone advertised, so I havent got a clue whether my speed is supposed to be upgraded, or not, well done to the techies for doing a good job (Only not here :'( ) But where the hell is the PR, NTL , FOR GOD SAKE, talk to your customers, this is pathetic, at least acknoledge this upgrade, at least tell us where is being done, and where is having trouble, not his guessing game we have now, if only I could get ADSL, i would be off in a shot. (If not for the speed, NTL here have been fine for that, but at least go to an ISP that talks to their customers, there has to be better than this out there)

only they havent, NTL have done what people HERE have told us, not them, and thats the point, they havent acknoledged that they were upgrading now, and now Im in the lurch cause I havent been upgraded, I shouldnt have to (And havent got the time to) wait on hold to NTL TS to ask why my area hasnt been upgraded, and probably just to get a dodgy response, NTL, please, just throw me a ball here, please?

over 750k here through STB in Watford and thats without the overheads. well done to all the guys who were working on a sunday night to get this done!
