let me know what you think when you get to the end. Frankly if I had known that was coming I would have saved myself all that time and money .
At the moment i'm reading the Chronicle by Guaman Poma writting in about 1600 .
Not on the intro at the moment so can't say if it's any good.
It;s the first account of have of the Spainish Conquest that was written from the Inca side so looking forward to getting some of their views.

noooo, get the books from charity shops - look in the 'kids books' sections first, as they are much cheaper.

ah. A classic.
Though to be picky it's acutally 'Iain Banks' - he uses the 'M' when it's sci-fi
I find his non scifi novels a bit hit and miss really - wasp factory was good, espedair street was good, and so was complicity - the others I could take or leave really (though I haven't read the last 2 or 3)

Yeah, not bad. Rather weird, & 1 hell of a twist at the end.

Mysteriously a folder of 20 of them has just appeared on my hard drive. Can't imagine how they got there. Going through them in chronological order, reading Walking on Glass now.

Re: What are you reading?
I've just finished Harry Potter - I was most impressed (or, at least, I would have been if someone at work hadn't given me a massive plot spoiler yesterday )
Now I've just got to decide between 2 Stephen Kings, a Jasper Fforde, a James Herbert and about 3 others to choose between for what's next

ok, I won't give it away then by telling you that the main character is in fact a small monkey wearing a clever disguise and answers to the name 'Peter'.
He also has a unicycle.
