Unless your life depends on Virgins broadband, and if you watch football, then there's no logical reason not to take up the offer.
Essentially, they're offering BT Sport for the cost of your BB.
Exactly. Now is a great time to be out of contract with SKY and Virgin.

Sky might put a spanner in the works by not allowing BT to carry sky sports though

If you live in an area where BT offer a decent broadband product.

clearly that wouldn't be an issue.
BT aren't going to go back on their word to customers it would breach the contract terms

Be careful Chad old boy as there is usually plenty of devil in the detail and what might seem a good offer now might in the long run not be as good as it looks.

Very true. As posted the other day, SKY are expected to release over 100,000 12 month half price codes in the summer. Here is what you could pay, based on the deal I have:

£27.75 For SKY World (SKY Sports and SKY Movies included)
£5.12 for HD package
£15.45 BT line rental
£15.00 for BT Broadband (BT Sports included)

= £66.32 per month for a year then back to full price. Of course you could then cancel some services, being out of contract, and look elsewhere for a better deal.

If BT Sports isn't added to the XL or VIP package on Virgin, things face getting real expensive. A VIP customer who wants BT Sports in HD is facing a monthly subscription fee of almost £129.00 per month, plus £2 or £3 extra being the rumored price increase for SKY Sports in the summer. Surely nobody thinks almost £132.00 per month for TV, broadband and telephone is good value? Especially if you can get a similar service for half the price. What is more important? Your bank balance or custom to Virgin?

If they up the price after the initial contract term and you're not happy, you can always cancel

But Virgin have yet to make their move yet but one suspects when they do we could be in for a unexpected surprise.

Very true however based on the model put out by BT today, and the total lack of any news about a deal with Virgin, I'm finding it more and more difficult to think what rabbit Virgin will pull out the hat.

People are getting the new channels for free from BT if they take £10.00 broadband and line rental. This deal is open to BT and SKY customers. BT are making the channel very cheap and accessible. Tucking BT Sports into the XL or VIP package is counter productive to BT's selling technique. Virgin would need to stick BT Sports in the M+ package or free with Virgins broadband to make it equally attractive.

I suspect something is coming soon.

Noticed BT's Twitter page has plenty of virgin customers asking questions. Virgin have then tweeted:

"Hey there, why not head on over to here http://virg.in/BTSport and sign up for any updates. IP"
