Not me, I remember it very well.

My Dad worked at the CEGB (East Midlands) Grid Control, and was one of the engineers responsible for implementing the disconnection plan in the EM area.

It wasn't all bad news. The pregnancy rate went up dramatically !

Actually the pregnancy rate has been on a downward trend.

True. Blame streaming TV/3000 TV channels and video games Also half the fertile population aren't up to it as they're so unfit. Hence our ageing population, and reliance on immigration, think on !

The reasons for the outage are being featured in today's BBC news programmes. There is a suggestion that those responsible will be fined and those who lost out could be compensated

Great, so those of us who were not affected will now have to cough up when the companies raise their prices to get back the money they are forced to pay out.
