DAZN will resume its international expansion plans on July 24.

While not mentioning an official full release date, DAZN sent an email to users who had registered their interest offering “free early access to the new home of fight sports as a Beta Community tester.”

The company announced an expansion to more than 200 countries and territories at the beginning of March. This rollout was scheduled to take place on May 2, but this was pushed back as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

Now, with sports starting to resume around the world, DAZN has decided to go again and pull the trigger on a July 24 beta launch to coincide with the Boxing match between Vergil Ortiz Jr vs Samuel Vargas.
Good luck with that

Anyone noticed that when Premier Sport 1 is blocked due to rights on both Sky and their streaming service - VM gets an alternate programme?

I have seen them screening NASCAR during these times, sometimes the screen just goes black even when the EPG says there is a programme on.

Didn't know they had the same programs as Sky,or am I misunderstanding what you're saying? I don't sub to Premier Sports so never tune in anyway, plus I'm with Sky so might be different to Virgin anyway.

Premier Sport 1 was always the same on Sky and Virgin. But when some RoI programming went out the screen would blank out outside of RoI.

But now VM get a different programme to RoI - but Sky is still blanked out.

Ok think I understand now. Premier Sports have rights in ROI that Sky have in England so can't show over here is what I understand.

l have to concur with your view Chad but they are likely to have to learn the hard way like some of the others entrants before them.

Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news

I believe there's such a thing as too many Sports channels competing against each other and fans just won't sub to them all. Despite what some say on here the majority of sports fans like to watch their sport on (I do believe they're called) linear channels. I only watched the Premier League games on Amazon prime because I got to see it at no extra cost. I would not be paying to watch as I feel I pay more than enough to Sky and BT already.

As with Setanta before them. Business model collapsed by biting off more than they can chew.

DAZN are launching with boxing. Boxing is fairly niche. Boxing has had a dedicated boxing channel for 9 years now in Boxnation. At its peak if showed content that not only rivalled Sky but surpassed them at a fraction of the cost. The channel was available on all TV platforms and various streaming devices but sat with an average subscriber base of less than 100,000. Nearly went completely to the wall until Premier Sports bailed them out and took control.

People in this country love watching football, mainly live British football. With the FA Cup becoming completely free to air next year on ITV and the BBC along with the Scottish Cup and Scottish Championship on the BBC and the English and Welsh national teams qualifiers and friendlies live on ITV and S4C respectively households will have access to roughly 70 games of top quality football per year for free. If you like a bit of football that's a bit more exotic Freesports show the Portuguese league, MLS, JLeague, La Liga, Seria A, Danish football and football from Poland.

I can't see DAZN making any impact in the first 24 months if they last that long. It's likely they'll join Setanta, ESPN and Eleven Sports RIP

Scottish Cup and Championship - hardly what I would consider to be top quality.

Also, a bit of a mis-representation that Serie A and La Liga are in Freesports - yes they are but rarely live, you need to subscribe to Premier Sports for that, the other leagues mentioned are not top quality either.
