Yep, they changed the report, initially it went off the runway but then it was changed to a short landing..

Either way they were lucky..

I'm aware of the BBC news report. But until we have the detailed final report, there is still specualtion as to what caused this.

Just been watching the BBC news coverage of the move of a T7 Meteor from where it's been the gate guard at RAF Innsworth (now Imjin Barracks) over to the Jet Age Museum at the nearby Gloucester Airport.

They strapped it to a harness and used a Chinook to move it the 1.5 miles

earlier last week had a lovely WAH-64 flying over and it was the 1 with longbow radar was pretty low as well about 100 meters above ground.

Horrific indeed.

The wide-angle lens of the camera used for that footage may be distorting things somewhat, but the aircraft's angle of attack seems quite steep to me. It does appear as if the plane stalled and came to almost a complete standstill in mid air.

Anyone with any experience of these things care to offer an opinion?
