No, Theresa May, may recommend to the FA to pull England team out of the tournament, she may do it if other countries rally round her and also boycott the World Cup. UK doing it alone would not make much of an impact but other countries pulling out will send strong message to Putin.

Re: New UK-Russia Tensions after Ex-Russian Spy Poisoned in Salisbury

A Russian national was found dead in London last night, it is not yet, being linked to Salisbury incident but his ‘association’ with links to the Russian State and now subsequent death is being treated as unexplained and suspicious and is also being investigated by counterterrorism police.

Re: New UK-Russia Tensions after Ex-Russian Spy Poisoned in Salisbury

Latest: Downing Street Spokesperson says President Trump has told Theresa May in a phone call the U.S was with the U.K. all the way and Russia must unambiguously explain how it’s nerve agent came to being used.

Also a line coming out from outgoing U.S Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has said if Russia continues to go down this path, it will become increasingly isolated.

I think someone must have sent that email to the England rugby team by mistake.

FA have said England still intends to attend the World Cup in Russia unless it is told not to by the British Government.

Gonna be some awfully red faces if it turns out Russia had nothing to do with it

Re: New UK-Russia Tensions after Ex-Russian Spy Poisoned in Salisbury

The Nerve Agent has key signature ingredients, the creator who created it says it's like having a fingerprint, as per the governments stance yesterday, that fingerprint implicates Russia.

Nope, that fingerprint implicates a toxin developed by Russia. It goes nowhere near proof that Russia used it.

Still, media frenzy is media frenzy in any language

We could well be flying off at a tangent.

But who could obtain advantage by implicating Russia?

The nerve agent isn't something found at the local store in Russia, so yes developed by Russia, it's then how that chemical weapon ended up in the hands of an assassin, if this is not Russia directly responsible, then Russia still need to explain how something so dangerous ended up in the hands of a potential rogue assassin, that's what our government has asked Russia to explain by Midnight tonight.

Re: New UK-Russia Tensions after Ex-Russian Spy Poisoned in Salisbury

It would be nice if Russia could explain how the toxin did end up in the 'wrong' hands . . . much the same as weaponry and nuclear material probably goes missing may be a start

I've no idea who would gain an advantage, Governments and 'other' groups move in ways far too complicated for me to understand.

But if I wanted to stab someone to death I'd remove all my fingerprints from the weapon . . . or I wouldn't leave the knife there along with my Tesco loyalty card

Either the Russians are stupid (which I doubt), or they're playing a silly game of bluff bluff double bluff, or they have been stitched up.
