Re: [Merged] BB Speed Upgrades

I've looked through the thread and it seems like the Luton area was among the first to be upgraded. Does this include Hitchin (problems in Luton always seem to)? I've rebooted my modem with no success, but the log does have an odd report of an update not being applied because it is "not for this unit" or somesuch. It's a Motorola SurfBoard, which I know NTL stopped giving to people a long time ago now, so I'm curious if the area has been upgraded but my CM isn't being catered for.

Doesn't seem likely as the config file gets grabbed okay, so the update must be something else entirely, but I don't know much about these things.

Ta for any info,

Upgraded to 1.5Mbps here

Woking. Motorolla Surfboard 4100.

Needed a modem reboot.

I think all the standalone modems are supported as they are capable of going to much higher speeds (some go up to 30Mbps!). It's only some Set Top Boxes that are unsupported (due to problems going above 1Mbps) and thus need replacing.

Have you rebooted your modem yet, or checked via the postcode checker when you are due to be upgraded?

to the site btw.

Thanks,

I have rebooted the modem this morning, but nothing as yet...

I have checked the postcode and it says September, but judging by users in this thread it doesn't seem very accurate...

It has been wildly inaccurate for some people yes, but it looks like it may well be accurate for you!

Either way-it's coming, so be patient (I thought parts of Bedfordshire were being trialled for the upgrades early, but perhaps someone like BBKing can shed some more light on it?)

Thats why i was having problems then. Anyone know if this has been resolved?

Re: [Merged] BB Speed Upgrades

I'm in Leeds (Bromley) and am now up to 750k

The connection died early this morning, with the modem-connection light on the STB not showing. It connected surprisingly quickly after a reboot and after different test I can confirm the upgrade
