If you like it its good, if you want to watch newer films its not!

Depends how you use Netflix when used with a VPN most new movies are on it alot before Sky too.
As for lovefilm i agree that is pretty poor. IMO Netflix pq is much better than Skys too, it looks stunning on the ps3 in 1080p.

this is a forum and a really good one. this thread makes the most traffic i believe from what i can see. i dont know why the forum would want to stop or discourage friendly discussion. it really put me off this place to be honest.
but anyway continuing with "on topic" discussion. do we have any timescale about love film coming to VM? I really like netflix and have no idea what would be on love film.
and again cheers MB for your work and this thread. appreciated.

It's all very interesting, have also read that Discovery, which is owned by John Mallone who is the chairman of LGI may also make a joint bid with Sky - strange times.

Ooh, careful. I had similar comments deleted from the first page on this thread.

What a load of tosh.
If a moderator wanted to start the thread then he can. No one owns the rights to post certain threads.
So you can thank Stephen for the thread, not Media Boy!

Spot on.
Let's face it, 90% of this thread is pointless off topic drivel to be honest and not related to what's coming soon. For example a few pages of what BBC channels cost what and even this discussion about MB and this thread in the past week.
To actually find genuine rumours that people such as theone2k10 is getting harder and harder.
Cue the clique responses to say if you don't like it don't read it and check the change log thread, well as long as they got a thread to post chit chat to each other that's all that counts.
Am out.

There are no clique's and never has been so some should get off your high horses and add something of merit to the thread.

Yes they are the hunger games, empire state, Fastfive (i think that's been on sky?), escape from planet earth, hansel n gretel witch hunters, the hobbit a unexpected journey, pain n gain , the last stand, a haunting in conneticut 2, Olympus has fallen, Red Dawn to name a couple that are on Netflix various regions that are not on Sky or been on Sky except for the one i said i think has been on Sky. If you're refering to the UK Netflix then you are correct but in my original post i did say using a VPN.

I'm more than capable of reading you said ,

The bold part is were your wrong , you listed a small amount , clearly the few Netflix has first run rights to. Check the new in on Sky or Now TV each week and you'll see very few are available on Netflix in any region.

Including this one, I have to say, Paul.
There are very few genuine rumours now because most of the missing channels of any merit have been launched.
If I can make a suggestion, perhaps you could exclude all the regular posters on here except for those of whom you approve. However, you will be missing out on a lot of entertainment in the process.
It's been said before, and I'll say it again. If you only want to read about what is really confirmed, look at the changelog, because very little is pre-announced these days.

But redbull, in terms of adding to content, this is good.
As far as the films are concerned, we can get first run films on a PPV basis via Virgin Movies. After 6 months, they are on Sky Movies, and then after 2 years they are shown by a variety of outlets, including Netflix and Lovefilm.
Clearly, you only need to subscribe to those channels and streaming services that have the material that you want to see.
Don't forget also that Netflix are expanding their selections with new programming as well as providing whole series of programmes that have been denied to us by the broadcast channels in this country. Breaking Bad series 3 onwards is an example of that.
The HBO On Demand app mooted to be coming to VM might be more suited to you as this will contain first run shows, but it looks like that will be PPV.

We all know that this is actually Media Boy's thread though, Vince. Unfortunately, MB's normal listings didn't feature at the beginning of this one due to this change, which was a pity because this is what people should be able to refer back to from whichever page they were on.

I've had a couple of free 1 month trials with Netflix and there isn't really enough on there to make me want to continue paying for it to be honest.
Also with Amazon Prime/Lovefilm, am currently on a free month trial of that and again I wouldn't pay the subscription for it (though found out the OH gets it free through her bank, even then doubt will use it frequently)

Ok i'll rephrase it to some.
Speaking of Sky you seen the price of their Skystore movies now £5.49 for HD. I'm wondering how long before VM follow suite and up their prices too.
