Yes, your point being? First you said he'd started games which were pretty much all against big clubs in important matches. Now you've changed it to he's appeared against so and so. If he'd played every single minute against the clubs you've mentioned above, you'd have a point. Of course, he hasn't done anything close to that.
Minutes played:
Arsenal - 19
Spurs - 22 & 0
Chelsea - 0 & 78
Liverpool - 45 & 17
Everton - 90 & 16
Man City - 8
Aston Villa - 90 & 90
Impressive!
He started 4 of 12 matches against what i assume you consider to be big clubs and/or important matches. How does that, in even the most generous of ways, equate to:

How about you admit you were talking nonsense and we can move on?

Re: Football : Season 08/09
You seem to be taking the whole award thing too seriously and to heart, obviously i didn't spend my time researching how many minutes he played against each team like you have. The point i was trying to make is that the games he has played in have been high quality performances, which may have made up for the lack of starts he's had compared to other players, obviously i was wrong in saying that all the starts were against the top teams.

Yes, because i've proved you wrong i'm taking things to heart and too seriously. Classic.
Why don't we all just make random, made up statements and forget about any sort of argument, debate or the concept of fact and reality? That sounds like fun.
Yes, you didn't research. I'm surprised you'd need to, as i expect most football fans who've followed Man United this season would realise your point was false just by watching their matches. The reason i spent a mere couple of minutes collating the stats is because i had hoped it would end the particular debate straight away. Instead you replied twice, ignoring the original stats which immediately disproved your claim.

Re: Football : Season 08/09
WTF? Who cares about the awards players get? They don't affect the fans, except to cause debate amongst those who are dissatisfied with those who have (not) been chosen. Just get over it, there's more pressing issues to be moping about, like Norwich going into the sheets with regard to relegation - they need Barnsley to lose on Sunday and they need to win in order to stay up. Not looking promising!

Talk about parking the bus infront of the goal, what a boring match. I hope Chelsea get a thrashing at home after that, they don't deserve to go through.

Was a bit boring wasnt it. Thought Barca's shots were a bit all over the place in the first half anyway. Got to say am sick of drogba's diving. He's got to be one of the worst players in the world for it. Its a shame to because he is brilliant when he decide's to play and put a bit of effort in.

Boring? Come on thats being a bit harsh isn't it? Yes no goals, but there was some good football being played by Barcelona. The first half was anything but boring, some good little touches, nice passes, and a couple of attempts on goal.
As for parking a bus in front of goal they went there not to concede. Just because a team plays defensively minded , and yes, it was a case of lets clear it aimlessly and regroup for most of the match, that again doesn't make it a boring match. You also have to give credit to Chelsea being the only team at Barcelona's ground not to concede this season.
As for tonight I think we will see goals from both sides, it will be like a full blown premiership match, so fast paced, lots of chances to both teams.
I think Chelsea will win at the Bridge and beat Arsenal in the final.

Re: Football : Season 08/09
I thought we totally outplayed Arsenal today, should have been at least 3-0, missing those chances may come back to haunt us but i think we have enough to see them off at the Emirates.

What did he do wrong this time????
Personally I thought he came on and did well, held the ball up well and didn't give any possesion away, more than Tevez did.

It did look like he'd had a kick up the arse from someone tonight. He did do more and he even helped out in defence tonight.

Its a pity that ref doesn't handle Ronaldo more often, perhaps he might actually stay on his feet more often.

Berba did better, but still nothing to write home about.
