still would like to be proved wrong as we still need a few other teams to beat or draw with chelsea to get back into the title race

Thats the problem they only perform on the big stage.

They could. They went 45 games unbeaten IN ALL competitions during 1998 and 1999. At the minute with injuries etc we are just not good enough.

Footballer gets papal blessing
An Italian footballer has become a hero on and off the pitch for asking his team to pay him only the minimum wage.
While some of his team-mates at Roma football club earn millions, Damiano Tommasi has requested a salary of â‚ ¬1,500 (£1,013 ) a month. After being out of the game for months with a knee injury, the 31-year-old player said he simply wanted to return to playing football at the highest level and economic considerations were low on his list of priorities. A modest salary was enough for his needs, he said, and he was still earning more than many ordinary Italians.
His gesture has led to him being lionised in football-mad Italy, with even the Vatican's official mouthpiece L'Osservatore Romano congratulating him for not pursuing an exorbitant salary or re-signing fee, like other players.

Rio: 'Keane never mentioned money'
Rio Ferdinand claims he has seen Roy Keane's famous MUTV interview and he never mentions his £120,00 0-a-week wages.
...Ferdinand has told The Sun: "I respect Roy as the team captain. He obviously spoke and said what he felt but what he said about me is nothing that I didn't think about myself and more. I'm my own fiercest critic.
And for the record, I've seen the interview and nowhere does Roy ever mention what I earn or refer to my contract.
"He talked about my position for the two goals and he was right. But some of the stuff it is claimed he said is absolute rubbish."

How are they going to balance that? '50 Greatest van Nistelrooy Three Yard Tap Ins', perhaps? '50 Greatest Spurs Defensive Cockups'? The possibilities are endless.

Perhaps the balance will include the goals that ended Arsenal's run, they were pretty good.

They balanced it very well the previous week, the No. 1 goal was from Giggs with the usual assist from your Captain at the time.
Next week it is "Pick your top 3 Arsenal dives" from our selection of 50.
With so many to chose from it is going to be tough to pick the top 3 methinks.

I spot a certain amount of irony in this, considering that the first of Russ's 'pretty good' goals was a dubious penalty following a dive by the spud-faced wunderkind. If that's 'pretty good' you really are getting starved of decent football, or you enjoy watching cheats when they wear Manchester United shirts. Time to start watching Arsenal and England, Russ.
3-2 to the England - smash and grab at the end. What a difference a decent defensive midfielder makes, eh?

And the cricket team finished the first day of the 1st Test on a high, also the RU boys beat Australia. somehow don't fancy the RL's chances of making it a fourth success.
