I think the joke is that next month is September and has just 30 days!

Yes, the currently on-going running shows; Banshee, Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire, The Newsroom, The Following, Blue Bloods, True Detective, House of Lies are all rubbish? I think not. They are all highly rated shows
That is eight shows on one channel. I can't think of another channel that has that many shows that interest me. And there will be other shows that interest other people. And you can add to those, other highly rated shows that are no longer current but were/are only available on Atlantic, such as The Borgias, Friday Night Lights and Fleming.

Had been a bit quiet so thought I would be a pain and bring it up again.

I was one of the biggest critics of Atlantic on here once but i'm being made to eat my words, i'm currently making my way through Ray Donovan, fantastic show. Even convinced me to buy a 4 month entertainment pass for nowtv of ebay lol. Only cost £12 though so great value imo.

The latest internal rumours are that they might offer this on non-BT Youview boxes but this is just gossip for the time being.
Just to put some reality on this though, we were told that BT wouldn't be getting Sky Sports 5 but recent developments have totally contradicted this.
So Sky Atlantic changes really depend on how much extra they "Sky Corporate" might make from such a deal.

HBO Nordic does it for me as they also have shows from other US cable networks and various other networks; Black Sails, Bitten (Canadian), an alternative Borgia series, Magic City, Power and The Firm are some examples. Some of these may have been shown on a UK channel though?

Bitten is on netflix canada too, i think black sails is too. I'm making my way through a similar show to black sails called crossbones on hulu+.
I don't have hbo nordic as they stopped accepting cards outside nordic region.
Dunno if any are on any uk channels i got rid of tivo and freeview, only use on demand now.

Each to their own PB. I have admitted I fully enjoyed True Detective and thought Banshee (S1) was acceptable enough, it certainly did not warrant a score of over 8 stars on IMDB. I was thinking of renting Blue Bloods but have changed my mind since. As stated previously GOT is incredibly boring and loses a great deal of the excellence from the books in its move from book to screen. A number of my work colleagues and a couple of mates all complained about how poor The Following got as the series progressed. I admit I have not heard of the newsroom, and I am thinking of renting Boardwalk Empire, purely because of Steve Buscemi, not because of its ratings.
I generally try not to look at reviews for shows on IMDB or anywhere else, I like to make my own mind up on these things. I think the original versions of the The Bridge and The Killing are better than anything SA could ever show. These also rate highly on IMDB, but many people will say they are rubbish, slow or boring.
If I cared about the Borgias, I could easily read any number of history books about them. I don't need to watch a show that will most likely make a great deal of stuff up just to pad out the number of seasons they can show. I have seen the film of Friday Night Lights, and I know how it all ends, I even ruined the ending of the story for a friend who has not seen the movie or heard about the real life story. The same goes with Fleming as with the Borgias, I could happily find any more info I wanted from books about him. Although, I am pretty happy with my knowledge of Ian Flemming as it stands currently.
I know many people on here love Atlantic and the programmes they show, I just do not see the fascination of it and will continue to class it as overrated, especially for the money Sky paid for it.

It wasn't Sky that switched off the freeview and re-encrypted Sky Sports, it was VM
