aah the silky sound of algae slapping the hull, the soft splat of bird droppings hitting the sun deck, and the muted curses from the engine room when the bugger won't start . . .
you lucky lucky man, where was my invite?

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
As you may know, I've been out of work since July 1st 2020.
I have been low, but I found a group near me called Harlow Community Men's shed, it's for men to get together and not be isolated, every Tuesday.
I've been there a month and there is a guy I worked with in a previous job, he even remembered my surname.
Today, while helping him build a planter, my phone rang.
I have an interview for a temporary job at my local B&Q, it only 20 hours a week and for 3 months, but you never know.

Good luck, being in a job gives you a greater chance of getting a better one.

First strawberry harvest of the year today, still warm from the sun with a bit of ice cream and washed down with chardonnay. Life's not so bad

I love Morrisons. Did an online shop of over £100. Confused when they emailed me a receipt after delivery that was only for £20 - their list seemed 'truncated'.
Didn't think anything more till it came through on my CC card as £20.

I'd let them know but that's me. Then they can correct if needed but if their records balance you get to know that you tried and they get kudos for allowing it as their fault and their expense.

Off to Filey on Friday with SWMBO. No work calls, no laptop. Just a couple of days peace and quiet before SWMBO starts her new job.

I got very wet walking out on Filey Brigg a few weeks ago. Don't make the mistake of thinking the tide going out means you're OK to walk to the very end !!
