lol. Bloody clouds. It all fails if the internet goes down. This is supposed to be the future of business also, but your business stalls if the internet goes.

In a way it's counter-intuitive to say that the future for Virgin Media is with catch-up when it's flagship TiVo product is (rightly) lauded for the fact it has 3 tuners.

Catchup services are all very well but at present they only keep a week of programmes.
We manage alright with the 1TB box, we don't keep that many programmes more than a week probably about 250GB.

It lacks the flexibility of a pvr as well. I've only just recently finished watching a complete season of a show which I recorded January to March last year, 2012. That simply wouldn't be still available over a year later on a cloud based system.

Why do we need 4TB of space, I record everything in HD and have never gone above 50%, and I like to record HD films off Sky Movies and not delete afterwards so...
