Re: [Merged]-Major connection issues!
For those of you having problems with ebay.co.uk try ebay.com instead. I've had much better success using the .com address.

Re: [Merged]-Major connection issues!
I seem to be ok, atm, with setproxy in firefox at 'none' (although I realise it doesn't mean that), but, seriously, I found earlier that setting a bromley cache, from my langley connection, was viable, during the recent problems, it may mean nothing but I thought I would share

Sixth from bottom with 25 points?? How could anyone think it was ever 'going well'...
Not that it was any good anyway!!
These DNS's work well 212.135.1.36 195.40.1.36

Re: [Merged]-Major connection issues!
If you're using Firefox then this should help:
Create a file called user.js in the folder
C:\Windows\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xxxxxxx.default
(where xxxxxxxx is some alpha/number sequence)
To the file add the lines:
user_pref("network.dnsCacheExpiration", 3600);
user_pref("network.dnsCacheEntries", 100);
Then restart Firefox.
This will increase the number of cached addresses to 100 and their timeout to 1 hour. After the panic is over you can either delete user.js or set the expiry time back down to 360 (= 6 mins) or something similar.

Re: [Merged]-Major connection issues!
Quite serious problems here in Salisbury, but seems to be improving, can now get back to Google and BBC. Good job that people could get to this site though!
