Is there still upload STM after a certain amount? I've just done 5 days of constant uploading and I wouldn't want it if it had some.
From what I can gather, some new tiers had it after a short while not being STM'd

I have hammered the upload to no end since i got it and i can't see it being touched one bit. Before on 200 when i used to screen share on skype and stream over steam i would notice a quality drop after around 15 minuets, now i see no such drop and the quality overall of both has gone up massively.

Well, That's good. However, I wonder if it will be like previous rollouts? STM introduced after a while?

Is the firmware on the SHub 3.0 still a work in progress?

The upload is what i was also interested in.
Since im starting to use the cloud now more and more for backup purposes the extra upload is great.

Well they whacked it on vivid 200 pretty quick. I will give it a month or two before they whack it on 300 also.

Re: Virgin Media Homeworks 300Mb
I only found out about this "Addon" today.
Very interested in the 300mbit upgrade as I use quite a bit of bandwidth in the house.
But not so interested in it with the additional stuff like F-Secure and Tech support... as I have an IT Background and am fully capable of doing these bits on my own.
Is there any intention to release the 300mbit without the extras?

Doubt it unless they want to, let's say annoy a lot of people.

Well they would surely annoy the business customers who have STM put on from 6pm-8am 7 days a week and pay £80+ for the same thing?
Maybe not. Either way time will tell.

Business customers are not paying "for the same thing", they're paying a premium for a business grade service - including better support, better SLA's, etc.
Different terms and conditions as well. If you are a business owner and your broadband goes down, you get priority service techs to get it fixed. If you're using a residential service and you phone up saying your business is suffering because it's down, you get told you have to wait like everyone else.

Okay so although the business service is running along the same pipes as res, you get enhanced care? I know you get 24/7 support.
I remember Igni saying that a business connection does not get anymore in regards to SLA's. Maybe I read that wrong, if so I apologise.

They might not get better support for individual faults , but business customers do affect the priority of area faults. When I worked on outage we'd sometimes get told something like "this issue is only affecting 3 people but one of them is a business customer so it's a P1".
