ITV plc has several revenue streams including advertising, sponsorship, product placement and payment from TV platforms like VM and Sky. If Sky is prepared to pay enough to make up for the loss of revenue from the other sources and a bit more then ITV will do this as it maximises its profits. I would be bemused if they didn't. |

There was a discussion here about the commercial terms involved in pay on-demand services like Amazon Prime coming to VM. Some thought VM might get nothing out of the deal. This information about Netflix's entry into France is interesting.

		| Broadband TV News Although Netflix is offering to pay 10% of revenues to ISPs for distributing its service, the usual amount in France is between 30% and a third. |
It certainly suggests that companies like VM are likely to get a revenue cut for distributing Netflix in the UK and this will influence which services come to VM. Would VM also get a revenue cut of any advertising on on-demand services too?

Been a while since I've been on here and not skipped back through but is sky launching a sky America channel? There's a virgin ad in the star and it states in the small print that Sky Atlantic, Sky 3D and Sky America not included with virginmedia
