Re: Formula 1 2013 season
Was I the only one cheering when I heard Vettel was out? No? Don't feel so bad now. Still disappointed that Mercedes are winning, but at least Vettel won't be scoring anything today. I'm happy. Makes a change I know.

Why is it a problem for mercedes to win?? Although owned by Germans with a German driver most of the production/testing and staff are british.. I'm quite proud of the British heritage and modern day involvment in F1 with most of the teams being based in the UK.
As for Vettel the whole crowd was cheering when he went off

Re: Formula 1 2013 season
I was just pleased that Vettel retiring gave the others a chance to cut into his lead. Not sure why I don't like Mercedes.

Kimi Raikkonen's fifth-place finish at Silverstone means he now holds the record of consecutive points finishes (25).

Re: Formula 1 2013 season
The teams decided not to run in 2005, they formed up for the parade lap then all 7 teams on Michelins pulled into the garage at the end of that lap. That was track related when the indy people diamond cut the track and the one corner was causing the tyres to fail.

Re: Formula 1 2013 season
Didn't the tyre manufacture deliver the wrong tyres to the race by mistake and when it was realised they didn't have enough time to deliver others?
Edit.
Looks like you're right Kimmy.

Re: Formula 1 2013 season
I remember watching it live... it was stupid though as a simple chicane could have been installed the night before and all the teams would have been happy, but the American obsession with banked high speed corners and someones bright idea to make the surface more aggressive backfired.
