I read somewhere that the number of subscriptions in the USA for linear TV ( ie Sky / VM channels ) is falling rapidly

a United Front is needed from SKY/VM ( ie put Sky Atlantic on VM etc etc ) or it could go the same way here
Trust me I won't be ditching linear TV completely in favour of streaming , not until they can offer me a seamless operation with at least 1080i picture.

l won't be ditching linear TV fullstop but might dabble in streaming at some time in the future if it is of good enough quality.

But the UK have a different TV model than the US and quite a lot of Sky and VM customers are watching the football so they can't be compared IMO.
wellI for one would be very happy with the HuLu/Netfix TV model - I only watch episodes of a handfull of shows and would really appreciate getting episodes whenever I want ( & I hardly ever watch yawn yawn football)

Sky Anytime on VM and esp the Cricket On_Demand episodes seem to be going in that direction - How long will it take to move to the US model ?

I can't wait - no more of those yuk yuk Shopping channels etc
