Well I don't watch any of them...well we have The Soprano's om DVD. But with all the channels there is always something to watch without worrying about one channel.

Don't you remember when Sky took Sky 1 off VM? Well actually they put the price up too much. Well there was an outcry, but at the end of the day it was one channel, and most people who complained were only worried about the Simpsons.

What you have to remember is that VM have to buy most of their channels from Sky. So it wouldn't be financially viable for VM to include channels with very low viewing figures. At the same time why should anyone pay Sky's high prices for loads of channels that they would never watch?

I too am more interested in quality over quantity, which is why I want a channel that shows several emmy award winning dramas and not dross channels like Good Food HD.

You're kidding, right?

It's a while back now, but if I recall correctly, VM viewers also lost great shows such as 24 and Prison Break.

I think I can see why Sky Atlantic doesn't interest you.

All round Virgin have the better packages which remember include ESPN in the XL package plus better broadband and VOD and a far superior STB.

I hardly ever watch Sky 1, and I never watched 24 or prison break. I may have done if I didn't have a life, and spent all my time in front of the TV.

The channels I probably watch most are the discovery and national geographic channels.

My comment about the Simpsons was actually true. It was what most people complained about losing.

l never complained about losing the Simpsons as a matter of fact the channel that l missed the most was Sky Sports News.

VM users should also lobby for Sky Atlantic though, because VM with Tivo and great broadband, make moving to Sky, for one channel, a non option for most VM people

People could say to me that they can see why I'm not bothered if we don't get sports channels. It would be true, because I don't watch them, so tht wouldn't 'insult' me.

Thats very true but i stream Nurse Jackie which i got into whilst it was on the BBC,and sky suddenly bought it so all hope is not lost.

The only sports channels that I am bothered about are Motors, and from next year Sky Sports for the F1, but that's only going to cost me £7.

It's because I will already have the movies, and it only costs an extra £7 to add the sports package. Which I will do when the next F1 season starts.
