Re: Virgin Media - free cinema tickets for customers
have not been able to connect at all. After putting in myaccount details and using firefox 4 I either get a fatal error server message, a timeout, or unable to connect message. When I switched to IE 9 that was even worse, I just enter my account details and click on the continue button and nothing happens at all. Seems like the button does not work in IE9. Anyone getting the same problems, or is it just me?

Yeah basically it's a lottery. Same as buying tickets for popular gigs. Pathetic really. The people that end up getting them are either lucky or have a day they can dedicate to keep trying.

Re: Virgin Media - free cinema tickets for customers
They should have just limited the connections to the site to match that of available tickets so it's truely first come first serve.

Re: Virgin Media - free cinema tickets for customers
I eventually got in to the site after 50 minutes of trying to fond out that the nearest showing was 100 miles away!. No showings at all in the south west.
A total waste of time. Would it not be better to list the locations available the day before so we could avoid all this hassle and avoid blocking access to the ticket site for others.

Re: Virgin Media - free cinema tickets for customers
I saw the locations once and off the top of my head remembering them they included:
Brighton
Liverpool
Manchester
Leeds
Glasgow
London
Newcastle
I saw this page once and then it crashed. That was after 45 minutes of refreshing. I'm out.

It's not Virgin, It's showfilmfirst
Theres nothing to learn, nothing they do would make any difference, if someone is giving away 100 of something and 50,000 people want it then it doesn't matter how good your site is, the thing their giving away is going to go to the first few
When we people learn to use their brains and think before they start blaming people.
Oh wait, they have to blame someone so they feel better about themselves

Re: Virgin Media - free cinema tickets for customers
After hitting refresh on and off for the last couple of hours, I've just made it through and have got two tickets for Mansfield. Shame there wasn't anything in Nottingham as Mansfield is a bit of a trek up north.

Re: Virgin Media - free cinema tickets for customers
Both Manchester and Liverpool are full. Some still available in Stoke but might as well pay for the cinema as I'd have to pay for the train

Re: Virgin Media - free cinema tickets for customers
Now after entering my details and getting this:
Thank you, you have been confirmed as a customer!
I now get invalid ticket code on the next screen where i choose which cinema i want.
