Not true... it is rare to be fair though. My background is outage related, so I do know from a first hand experience.

Uddingston is an area that springs to mind the last time I've seen it... you usually get about 4 or 5 customers reporting it on a single cab before its looked at by networks... always seen it fixed as a power issue.

I used to have Caller Display then decided it was a waste of time cos the weans answered the phone without looking to see who it was. I come under Uddingston area.

I must admit I would have thought by now caller ID would have been enabled on all the switches, network wide. Any sign of a statement by VM on this one? Anyone else not been able to get CLI? Try calling 150 again in a month?

Re: Caller Display "No Longer Available" after port
As I've said before Virgin have stated that all areas will be enabled this year.
However there are 12 months in a year. It is not all going to get done in January

Re: Caller Display "No Longer Available" after port
Unfortunately, there is no schedule or timetable online. Areas will be enabled when they are enabled.
However getting frustrated that your area hasn't been done when there is now guaranteed date apart from 'this year' is probably a bit pointless

Re: Caller Display "No Longer Available" after port
Also, remember that cable-time is not the same as GMT, it does not progress at the same rate. I've lost count of the number of times Southampton was told it will go digital in the City Centre 'some time this year'. That was many, many years ago and we're still waiting. 'Some time this year' is a standard cable-time measurement meaning (as far as I can tell) 'hopefully before your kids retire'. What it certainly does not mean is 'before December 2010 is out'. Still, we can all hope can't we?

Re: Caller Display "No Longer Available" after port
I shall be trying again as soon as I've had a bill and can be sure I have not been charged after the confusion Virgin generated last time I asked. Be assured, I will tell the world if I ever get it working.
