Racism is not solely hatred of another ethnic/racial group.
From Dictionary.com:
Racism is...
"1 The belief that race accounts for differences in human character or ability and that a particular race is superior to others.
2 - Discrimination or prejudice based on race. "
The BNP are guilty of both.
e.g. "it's not their fault they are not white, they can have their own identity - just not in Britain"
...BNP definition of "British people" = white people (see later on)

Ok few points here, you made assumptions on some of the parts you posted.
Mainly the resettlement one. (yes I snipped it because it was a long post)
Voluntary resettlement. To you means forced against people that arent white. I'd suggest thats because you are against the BNP. As I said earlier I'm not for them and not really against them either. I used to be part of the ANL at college and I saw just how wrong they were too.
Voluntary resettlement I think is great. Look at the iraqis who fled here to escape saddam, once (hopefully) everyhting has settled down here and there is no reason fo them to live in fear. WHy cant they go back to Iraq?
Oh yeah no free health service, no council housing, no benefits system.
Extreme? yes
likely ? yes
Definate? probably
Chance of them volunteering to return? None
This is why the country gets into such a state, look at the problems here, abu hamza, we cant even deport him in case osmeone calls the gov racist, yet he preaches hatred to the english and the west.
Common sense says at least arrest him and jail him, If a "White" person stood up and said, hate the blacks kill them all, turn Africa into a white homeland, how many years in jail would they get for "inciting racial hatred".
However you feel about the BNP, their links to C18, their links to what is/was the Nationa Front. You cant assume that when they say voluntary they mean compulsary. Taker it at face value, its laughable yes but dont be folled by the left wing politics, as I said before the ANL are as bad as the BNP (violence against "marked racists" and not coloured, violence is violence no matter who or what it is against) and equally unfit to run the country.
Bottom line is this:-
Back through the ages wer are ALL decended from immigrants. Be it saxon, viking, Celtic, african, asian, etc etc.
I couldnt give a toss about someones race, skin colour religion etc. What I DO personally care about is the in built mechanism here that we cant say " fly the flag of st George" because a) its offensive to none English and b) its linked to hooliganism.
Well excuse me a) if they live here they are accepted as British, british encompassing England N.Ireland, Wales and Scotland. Why is it that all the other member countries can have their flags flying and it doesnt offend?
B) hooliganism? its a fecking flag Although yes England football supporters tend to fly the flag of st George when at matches the "supporters" that riot would do so under Any flag.
Take Germanies banning of the Swastika, the meaning of it is lost, its associated with genocide and dictatorship, but thats not right, its still only a fecking flag.
What really grinds me and makes me believe that something must be done about the inequalities in this country is that coloured people some of the time receive preferencial treatment. Yes i understand they are needy, perhaps having left their own country to avoid war, persecutione etc. BUT that does not make it OK for them to receive preferential treatment here, it does not make it OK for them minority of them to complain about the Union flag, the st george flag. It does not make it right for them to segragate themselves into their communities whilst pleading they are not being accepted. It does not give them the right to flout our laws, make racist comments aginst whites other races (which in Stockton on tees is something you here a lot, I'm talking first hand I was called a "stupid white english *******" just a couple of weeks ago, whilst walking into town to collect a suit (( obviously I must have threatened this person, must have intimidated him whilst walking down the road on the opposite side of the VERY large paved area and been in a conversation on my mobile telephone)) )
My reaction was relatively normal for me, I shouted **** off to him gave him the finger and continued on with my journey, however what I did is classed as worse then his behaviour!!!!
This country has gotten it so wrong, it must be sorted before the likes of the bNP get the opportunity to take power.

Re: Bnp
You've emmigrated to another country where you've got a job, a family, a home and some Nazi asks you if you want to go back to your own country, voluntary my arse, the only way they'd get 99% of them repatriated is to force them to go, which I have no doubt if (which thankfully will never happen) they were in power would be one of the first policies they'd act upon. No political party is going to put their most unsavoury idea's on display for the general public prior to an election and the BNP have stretched it as far as they can.

But if they have emmigrated thats fair enough, if they are seeking asylum from persecution in their country would it not be practical to have a condition of asylum that when safe they will be shipped back to their homeland? Is that actually wrong? I dont think it is.
If they are honest and said we want to come to the UK to work, to better our life and we are not seeking asylum then fair enough, not a need for re-patriation in my view.

Exactly, I wonder sometimes whether the BNP supporters actually bother to read the BNP's policies, anyway

Perhaps in your next post you'll address the issue of voluntary repatriation instead of side stepping it.

Re: Bnp
May I just say if you want someone to clarify or address an issue, it is usual to ask them to do so instead of expecting them to read your mind, then critiscising them on a forum for not being able to do so.

Fair enough? My views are in plain black and white/whatever colour configuration you have setup. No one is side stepping, I dont see any harm in re-patriation of asylum seekers, once it is safe of course. I dont see any harm in letting people wanting to move here to work and better their lives in staying.
The granting of asylum is not an indefinate right to remain.
Ethnic origin does not mean Non white. It means if a frenchman wanted to go back to France they would get help.
We all know in reality that the BNP's idea of voluntary means hounded, but what I am saying is that you cant instantly dismiss the idea purely because you dont believe in the views of the BNP. I have alos been trying to point out that the views of the "anti" brigaed, the Anti Nazi league , anti BNP, whatever, are just as bad, they are denying people the right to a democracy, the right to freedom of speech (even if in the UK freedom of speech isnt a right, its a priviledge).
I do NOT support the BNP and I am as much against the ANL as I am against the BNP.

Can I just point out that I don't think the French count as an "ethnic group", can I also point out that afaik nobody has condoned the Anti Nazi League either and finally that no-one is talking about Asylum, I was referring as were others to legal immigrants, not asylum seekers.

I do not think that because I am against the BNP (although I *am* against them) - I think it means that because that is what they say.
They do not say "voluntary resettlement" is only for asylum seekers & illegal immigrants.
They say it is for all foreigners, all immigrants.... all "non-British" people.
They themselves define foreigners/immigrants/non-Britons as non-white people.
They themselves say that only white people can be British.
Therefore, it is pretty damn obvious IMO that when they say they want all immigrants, all foreigners, all "non-Britons" to be "resettled", they mean non-whites.
Not "just" asylum seekers, economic immigrants, illegal immigrants, etc.
This is *nothing* to do with asylum & so on.
As for the ANL: I do not recall anyone here actually saying anything about them at all - positive or negative.
And you cannot lump all "anti-BNP" people & groups together under the "ANL" label.

I am a third generation British Citizen, My Grandfather gained British citizenship in Kenya as the British needed him to build railways (he also contributed to the war effort), my Dad therefore could move to England just as someone from Scotland could move to England and I'm born in England.
My Friend is also a third generation British Citizen, her Grandparents came to England from Poland during the 2nd World War (claimed asylum), her parents were born here and so was she.
What makes her more British than me just because she is white?

Nothing at all mate. You're British, she's British and I'm British. We're all as British as each other. The BNP are a very loud, but very small, bunch of brainless idiots whose policies, I'm sure will never be put into practice.

Re: Bnp
Going back to the flag issues, how many here actually fly either flag (apart from when supporting football) ??
I was at a local meeting the other day (complaining about the coucils breaking promises to spen money on our area instead of the "ahem" more asian populated areas) and some woman was asking if its legal to fly either flag. I just cannot imagine what the responce would be if I was flying them & someone was to tell me that I could not.

I have a tricolour above my decks, but I wouldn't fly it out of the window. I think it's got to the stage now where such a minute amount of people would fly one that when they do it's seen as some sort of affront. When is was in memphis a few years ago, a huge amount of people had confederate flags flying in their garden.
