Re: Football : Season 2009/2010
Credit to Celtic though, Mowbray was a class act before and after the game. Very diginifed in defeat. They got unlucky although Arsenal were the better team and it was pleasing to see them defending well, especially Vermaelen, who looks like another Wenger steal at 10 million.
It's not over though, despite the reaction of the press. 2 - 0 is a safe lead to take back to London but football is football.

Celtic have got to tighten up at the back and bring in some new players before the window shuts.

Celtic didn't play bad, What did they do wrong? Arsenal played well and got some luck. That's really all it came down too. I quite like Celtic but they were the underdogs and gave a good fight but Arsenal simply didn't relent to that.

This is a team that finished 2nd in the SPL and where playing Arsenal. I am not too sure what you expect from them but however they can play, they were the underdogs for this match and 2-0 is not a reflection on a poor performance. It's just the result you would expect on paper (albeit achieved in a unconventional way)

Looks like Lescott might be on his way to Man City after he's been dropped from the side with Moyles reports as being very disappointed with Joleon Lescott's attitude

There was a interview with him when he joined Everton from Wolves?(I think)
He said I want to spend the rest of my career here.

That's true
Liverpool found that out with McManaman and Owen when they went to Madrid.

If loyalty was an issue then simply the transfer market would stop working and everyone would have lifetime conracts

Call me old fashioned but I believe a contract is a contract
Although it does work both ways when clubs try to get players to leave as well.

Re: Football : Season 2009/2010
Hi Damien, No disrepsect to Scottish football, The SPL is always a two horse race, Celtic or Rangers, What l am saying is that Celtic can play much better, than what they played and they have got to up there game at Arsenal.
