Since it's now 2011 we've learned our lesson and moved on.
Perhaps someone could explain why that place across Stanley Park seems to be the only ground in the country where the stewards stand there and watch their own fans throwing coins from the front rows.

Re: Football Season 2011/12
Another step closer to the edge for Lennon in probably the most poisonous fixture in Scottish football as Celtic crash to a 2-0 defeat at Hearts to put them in third place 10 points behind Rangers.
After last seasons shenanigans with a hearts supporter attacking Lennon and both sides displaying a songbook of sick songs this fixture is likely to have Alex Salmond foaming at the mouth thinking how many new laws he can dream up on the back of it.

I doubt it but its a funny old situation at the minute. Newcastle have dominated every game so far apart from Arsenal who didnt dominate it was just a quiet game with minimal excitement. I think the praise should go to the excellent midfield and defence. Tim Krul really has been outstanding and IMO should be the real replacement for VDS at Manchester United (Hopefully not though)
If Newcastle can continue to beat or draw against teams lower than us and of course the defeat that will come will hopefully be at the hands of someone like Man Utd or City but even then anything can happen citing the 90's as my example in which we almost took the league just after coming into the top flight.
I'm happy to finish anywhere above 9th at this moment in time.

Sadly the difference in the league is too great for that to happen anymore. The league always corrects itself into the order that you, more or less, expected. Gravity takes it's toll. Ask Hull and Blackpool about that. The order usually correlates with the wage bill of the clubs.

oh boo hoo Wenger didn't shake the hand of a person he felt disrespected him. don't quote me on it though.

you know what i can't stomach! Arsenal sold off land earlier in the year. that money has become the clubs safety net should it face financial troubles. if the club doesn't make cl next year, that money will cover the losses but heres where us Gooners are ragging. 50+ mil in the transfer pot, all could have been avoided!
without that land sale the financial state to date is poor mainly due to the fact the clubs current sponsorship deals are not as rewarding as they were a few years ago when they were signed. heads at Arsenal think when the time comes to renew sponsorships, the club will be able to balance the books again but their missing something.. Man Utd are doing soo well on sponsorships because they have things to stand up tall against companies wanting their signature. its not even all about trophies. the bad media coverage, vibe around etc. etc. will result in Arsenal not being able to gain a deal as good as Utds, companies will hold the aces not the club itself!
Wengers destroying this club and this self-sustainable bull is nothing short of contradictory. Arsene has to buy in January.

Arsenal's sponsorship deal was out of need to get funding for the stadium.

Re: Football Season 2011/12
yeah and it was extremely good at the time of signing the deal. what I'm saying is renewals are coming up, 2014 if I'm correct... what will Arsenal use to aid them getting the best possible sponsorship deal(s)? no company dealing with Arsenal will lower its guard to get a deal wrapped up regardless of having to throw a little more money. thats the problem because of Wengers neglect.

Just thought this was a interesting piece from statistician Josh James who examines the facts and figures from Arsène Wenger’s 15 years as Arsenal manager.
