As i said this is rumour only i'm still awaiting other sources to confirm this.

That's a bigger worry because the new deal will last three or five years. So no sky cinema or sky sports or any sky TV in UHD till 2020 or 2022, so that don't sound good for VM

Maybe sky wanted more money but wanted something else like UHD. UHD is worth more than sky atlantic

I wouldn't dismiss it mate. It would give some of the old content a second life, and SKY a new revenue stream, without jeopardizing the exclusivity of SKY Atlantic. Could easily see SKY loosening their grip on the likes of Boardwalk Empire, The Borgias, Banshee, Fleming, The Following and Entourage. Shows that are finished and rarely appear on the channel unless repeated in the small hours of the morning.
Better than nothing. Quality shows.

I guess in a way SKY could use it as a way of saying "look this is what you're missing on SKY" by allowing some of the Sky Atlantic content onto other platforms it could serve as a taster to tempt people over to SKY.
That's the only logical answer i can think of right now m8 my normal sources haven't yet confirmed any of this as of yet.
