Reform UK doing well, ahead of the Liberal Democrats now. But the Conservatives have some great all-weather support, as a trip to Wokingham would no doubt illustrate.

Apparently when his late lamented mother did this sort of thing it was known as ‘brooch diplomacy’. You can communicate acres of displeasure or signal support with a carefully chosen brooch. Charlie doesn’t have that option, so ties and hankies will have to do.

Because they got elected for 5 years ...
Governments dont generally call elections when/if they are doing poorly in polls (which is not exactly a rare occurance for Labour or Conservatives).
