thats a clear case of not suitable, if you havent done so register a complaint with VM. Then 6 weeks after you sent the complaint and assuming they not fixed then complain to CISAS here. http://www.cisas.org.uk/CustomerInformation-4_e.html.
Also you can try complaining to the CEO and someone from his team will take it up, its usually better than tech support.

I may do. I spoke to them yesterday and they said there was high network utilization (yeah no kidding haha). They gave it a fix day of Friday but I remain pessimistic if the stories on here are to be believed.
Cheers for the link, if it isn't sorted after 6 weeks I'll send off a complaint

100mb/sec of FAIL.
Notice how the lag corresponds exactly to peak times, with a massive spikes as everyone gets home from school/work. You can see the spike at 12PM where people have configured their computers to start downloading. Big spikes around 8PM and 10PM as TV programmes end and people hop on to iPlayer etc.

Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)
I complained about poor service and I think they did something because my upstream channel ID range changed and the service has been perfect for gaming
Pity I didn't have this for the past 18 months as I'm moving house next week and have to leave VM because they don't/won't cover the area

Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)
Mine from last Sunday (06/05/12):
However, my mums for the same day is even better - she's VM too, but most people in her neck of the woods are crinklies who might do a bit of shopping and check a few emails!!!
Cheers

Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)
VM are quite capable of overselling their bandwidth all on their lonesome imo. Either that or there are an awful lot of clones in operation countrywide.
@thenry With the sort of performance you must be getting have you considered upgrading to ADSL - anything less than a 5km line will probably be better than your cable.
