Re: Cricket

Steven Finn took four wickets as a rampant England strolled to an eight-wicket victory over Australia to win the one-day series with a match to spare.

Re: Cricket

Australia are awful. If they don't improve over the winter i might put a bit of money on a 5-0 whitewash for the ashes next summer. There are a lot of very average players in the Aussie squad, much like England in the past.

Yes l agree but that have got a few hammering coming their way as its payback time for those years of drought against them in the past.

Re: Cricket

Well done England on a stunning 4-0 victory against Australia. Let's hope the good form continues against South Africa.

Re: Cricket

Kevin Pietersen 'left out' of England's World Twenty20 squad.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/cricket/18882665

Quote:
Kevin Pietersen is understood to have been left out of England's 30-man squad for the World Twenty20 in Sri Lanka.
The batsman, 32, quit limited-overs internationals in May after an impasse with the England & Wales Cricket Board, only to hint at a U-turn last week.

Re: Cricket

Alastair Cook ton gives England control.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/cricket/18910601

Quote:
Alastair Cook's unbeaten century helped England dominate the opening day of the first Test against South Africa at The Oval.

The vice-captain's untroubled 114 not out saw England reach 267-3 by the close, with Jonathan Trott (71) and Kevin Pietersen (42) also in the runs on a miserable day for the tourists.

However, but for Cook and Trott's graft, England might not be in such a commanding position on the first evening of a three-Test series which will determine the best team in the world.
