What about TV channels that also stream and broadcast offer On Demand/VoD?

Well presumably they cannot stream the content they are losing any more than they can broadcast it.

Well that’d be true, I’m more questioning OB’s persistent lack of recognition that the streaming market is a subset of the pay-tv market.

Re: Changes to Virgin TV (2022)
Previously exclusive to top tier customers (Full House / Maxit), the folder of Virgin TV Exclusives box sets appears to have been withdrawn.
Virgin TV Exclusives included:
- The Rook 'Virgin Media Original'
- The Feed 'Virgin Media Original'
- Good Behavior
- Imposters
- Will
- Magic City
- Ash Vs Evil Dead
- Chaussée d’Amour
- Billy & Billie
- Kingdom
They were still promoting it in September but it's gone now:

ITV is steering its audience away from its broadcast channels to its new streamer, ITVX, which is where many of its new dramas will go before they eventually surface on ITV1 under the 'Digital First' policy.
This is likely to deplete the audience for ITV's broadcast channels over time, I would have thought.

However ITV aren’t losing share where this happens. You’re creating a false narrative where they are competing rather than complementary offerings. Which is odd anyway since your concession that linear television will survive beyond 2035.

Fun fact streaming services like Direct tv, Fubotv in the US now cost more than tradditional cable tv,
be careful what you wish for.

It’s been explained countless times that competitive pressures putting up the cost of content simultaneous with costs being absorbed across a decreasing number of subscribers results in this.
However he still thinks this is desirable so long as it is a streamer.

Re: Changes to Virgin TV (2022)
I have been given some new information from a Media Boy UK Source on The old Box Plus channels:
*The Box, 4Music, E4 Extra, Kiss, Magic and Kerrang are set move over to the main Channel 4 playout system in April 2023.
*I can today reveal that The Box, Kiss, Magic and Kerrang are all set to be also rebranded by Channel 4 as their licensing of names from Bauer is coming to an end.

They won’t lose overall audience share, but ITVX will increase the proportion of viewers from the old ITV Hub, and the broadcast channel as a result will have fewer viewers.
Just to clarify, I didn’t say that the existing channels broadcasting and listed on the EPG would survive beyond 2035. Obviously, this is dependent on the infrastructure being established by then, and the of course government have already delayed the original timetable for broadband rollout by a few years.

Channel 4 owns the trademark to The Box, but I guess it will be rebranded along with the others anyway as part of the recent announcement of a unified Channel 4 brand.

Re: Changes to Virgin TV (2022)
Sky look to CUT channels
Quote:
Sky Sports are considering reducing their number of channels next year due to pressure from their US parent company Comcast to cut costs.
Sky lost 255,000 subscribers in the second quarter of this year with revenue dropping 13.8 per cent and they are anticipating further losses over the next few months as the impact of the cost-of-living crisis hits customers.
Sky Sports expanded to 11 channels five years ago as part of a strategy that allowed viewers to purchase packages to watch individual sports, with some of those channels now vulnerable to cuts. In another sign of cost-cutting, Comcast are close to completing a sale of Sky Deutschland.
