Just hope my trusty S/A V+ keeps going then.

I know it's daft but the main reason for me not going for a V+ box yet, despite being an XL TV customer for many years, is that I'm worried about what I'll get: a box that is slow, unreliable, has a poor up-scaled SD picture or any combination of those three. There's also the fact that my additional Pace-compatible, IrDA remote controls and the IrDA keyboard that I bought on eBay for £1 won't work with a Samsung, Scientific Atlanta* or Cisco box.
Apart from the two flavours of TiVo box, which I assume are all manufactured by Cisco, what other boxes are "Coming Soon to Virgin TV"?
* Scientific Atlanta is now part of Cisco

I see some blue text and I want it painted black. No colors anymore I want them to turn black.
Can we get Bob the Builder to fix it please?

Well as they pretty well have a monopoly and Ofcom say users are being overcharged because of that monopoly it could well be one reason why he is a customer but anti Sky. Nobody likes to be ripped off.

I pay £20.25 for all the sky sports channels , doesn't seem bad value to me when I pay £9.00 a month for ESPN for a third of the sport , just out of interest what do you think the price should be ? As for Sky being a monopoly and overcharging , I'll leave that to the courts and OFCOM. If its a cheaper sports option your after , I believe Premier sports is only 6.99. http://premiersports.tv/index.html

What you pay Sky is irrelevant unless you are saying everybody should move to Sky which would make them a total monopoly. I get ESPN thrown in with my xl subscription, so again what you pay is irrelevant. What isn't irrelevant is what Ofcom say, although you seem to think it is, and they say Sky is charging too much for movies and are reselling Sports channels at too high a price.

It's something the added recently. 3 quid a month for NFL Network over the web. I'd be happy to pay that sub if there were a TiVo app that could access it.

Have I not already said it will be decided in the court ? What do you think a fair price is ? Were did I also say its irrelevant what OFCOM say ? If they reduce the price , I benefit if not I'll still carry on as a Sky sports subscriber so its win win for me whatever.

I wouldn't be suprised if there was eventually as MLBTV seems to be cropping up on connected TVs , Apple tv etc.

Guardian: Jeremy Hunt's plan for new national TV network likely to be delayed.
The launch of a new national TV network, a key plank of culture secretary Jeremy Hunt's plan for a new generation of local services, is likely to be delayed and may even be scrapped.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2011) Vol. II.
Surely there should be a cable forum app on TIVo
Instant comments running across the screen..........
Could check them out immediately, without all that tedious walking back and forth between the study and the living room.
