theres a lot extra. there's a data centre here and in the states that is responsible for aggregating all the "recommended" content as well as all the EPG data and cast info etc. there's the dedicated modem and "app" features for You Tube etc. and a hole lot more that has yet to be seen!
so a small fee for this additional benefit... I don't mind that.
Oh, and i forgot to add the 1TB harddrive

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2010) Vol. IV
If true, I'm extremely happy with that pricing with being on Triple XL (ie. absolutely no setup/install fee and no monthly fee for 12 months!). I'd be more than happy paying the additional £3/month after the initial 12 months.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2010) Vol. IV
would be nice to know what the monthly fee will be after 12 months for triple XL subscibers like me and whether i'd be able to drop back down to V+ HD box for free after the 12 months are up.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2010) Vol. IV
If i have to pay the £149 and £40 install being on the TV xl package, i will be very unhappy.
Virgin have constantly chipped away over the past year at the TVxl subscribers hoping that we will be pushed up too the higher tier packages.
As the previous poster asked, whats the pricing for his triple L package. This i am waiting for with baited breath.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2010) Vol. IV
Why would the set up fee be less for a new customer who has freeview than someone who hasn't? That seems very odd to me.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2010) Vol. IV
As a VIP customer I'd sign up in a heartbeat if those prices are indeed true! I did question why Sky just sent me an email offering me any package I desired half price if I returned to them.
It looks like Tivo are returning to the UK to bite Sky in backside after they hung them out to dry last time!

Hey MB i hope that this is correct as this would be the icing on the cake
P.S MB do you have any contact with BIG RED as i would like you pass a message on to him to say thanks, as he was the one that sent the email to Neil Berkett to get the Vip pack sorted and this would make the best christmas present.

I find this hard to believe that XL customers will get off free.
I recently used to have XL, then went down to M, and back to XL. No-one collected my V+ box, but they still charged £49 to turn back on the V+ feature / HD channels.
Maybe no extra monthly fee, but I am expecting a charge for the box - even if it is to just turn on the Tivo extras.
