Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 3
You are quite correct, I failed to make that clear in my post. Thanks.

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 3
I live in Letchworth and my local TV mast is Sandy and on the old box I could get BBC East now I seem to be stuck with London TV
London info is not relevant to me and I miss out on local TV. The old V+ had the option for BBC East but not on the TiVo

Your region (Luton headend) should have BBC1 Anglia on 858, as well as the South East one on 101. This has not changed for years, and V+ and TiVo get the same channels.
If 858 is currently showing South East, it's likely there is a temporary fault with Anglia and they have switched to a backup feed.

So do TiVo decide what to change or is it at the request of Virgin. Can you see whats coming next

What I meant was that any changes to the code are written by TiVo themselves. VM don't have any core coders directly employed.
However in regards to what is changed I'd say it's mostly TiVo, however VM can ask for changes too.
The development of the HD EPG, the mini guide and some other bits were driven (and probably paid for) by VM, yet are now in the US TiVo box
Both companies though will probably look at the benefit and cost of any change before deciding whether to do it or not.

I have had an update which now gives me 858 ok but the iPhone app that allows you to record will only work if set to London area so again I miss out on regional programmes. I have just been speaking to a Tech in Wales who at first said your area is London. It was only when I said "what would you do if you could not view local programmes only news from London and a Tech told you "No London was correct" he's now looking into the problem.
When I first got the TiVo box I phoned the help line as the iPhone app was not working as they had an issue with iOS 6 but they did confirm I needed to be on East of England for the programmes, now it would seem they have fixed the issue with iOS 6 but it will only work if set for London. Nothing wrong with London I hear you say, the fine people of London are part of life's rich tapestry. The poorly woven part.
Oh I forgot to say they have a bug of sort with the update it locks the TiVo box and does not re-set. I pulled the plug after 60min but how long should it take to re-boot after the update??

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 3
Have got Walking Dead, American Horror Story, Modern Family and The Middle on a series link. Checked on my planned recordings and none of them are now scheduled to record Anyone any ideas why?
Tried re setting the series links again but showing only recording next episode none after that

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 3
Strange thing on my series links:
Was watching the TV last night, and noticed the recording light was not on, when I was expecting it to be recording Merlin.
Checked my future recordings and all but three weren't showing.
Rebooted, same problem.
All the series links involved are set to new only, changed to new and reruns
and are now all set to record! Luckily Mrs. D&C watched Strictly live, or all hell would have broken loose!!
Have Virgin changed something I don't know about, everything was fine until last night. All Friday's programmes were OK.
