Re: Virgin Media Homeworks 300Mb
I Just had an idea....
if i was to ring up and cancel my TV services and then ask for the homeworks to be added to my account would this work?
Im not in a contract at the moment as the 1 year expired in January.
I dont watch TV so i will just get a cheap freesat box.

However, the upload speed is certainly a big enough jump to get excited about

The speed increase works for me, my upload was in use during the test

Sort of. Change of services requires 30 days notice, so you likely wouldn't be able to add HomeWorks + 300 until next month once the disconnection completed.

Drop TV, see the service out and then order it? If I can order it with just 200 on it's own then surely so can you when you have lost the TV?

Talk to retentions and see what they offer you. Doesn't hurt to ask.

Re: Virgin Media Homeworks 300Mb
I tried to place an order for Homeworks+ on Tuesday, the offshore agent put me on hold for 10 minutes when he spoke to his team leader then said my area was not ready for another week. Told to call back again next week.
We have a congestion issue at peak times with a fault fix date of July 22nd will sales just push it through regardless next week?

You can't currently order HomeWorks + 300Mb online as an existing customer as far as I'm aware - you have to call in.
What you can order online is the standard HomeWorks package which doesn't come with 300Mb.

Just sorted out my package, removed TV and added home works and paying around £7 a month more than before.

Last time I did an online upgrade for someone (last year) it happened at midnight 2 days afterwards.

I don't know why they don't just sell it as a resi add on rather than marketing it as a add on for home workers, unless they clarify if someone is or not then it's a pointless title.

Anyone that has 200Mb can opt for HomeWorks + 300Mb once it's available in their area if they so wish.
