Re: The Euro 2008 thread
Before this game you could have put a bet on Holland at 12/1. It's 5/1 now.

Re: The Euro 2008 thread
I wouldn't get too excited, the term peaking too soon comes to mind and has happened to the Dutch many a time
3-0 was extremely flattering for the Dutch, especially when the first goal shouldn't have been given, could have been a totally different game...

Re: The Euro 2008 thread
I can't believe Van Nistelrooy cheated for that first goal, he was never like that when he played for United.
The second goal was pure class, perhaps a United player will get his hands on another trophy this year.
Funny how the teams who play in all blue are coming up short, nothing new there then this season.
Jim.

Credit to him though, he could have gone down for a penalty earlier...

Well, some people are saying that the Italian that was behind the goal line played RVN on-side, as he left the field without permission from the ref. Personally, I'm not sure. Anyway, it was a fully deserved win. No-one can argue with that

Nope, I'm just reading 606. Many people there are saying it. Even an Italian bloke. Apparently, it's not up to him to leave the pitch. anyway, as I said I don't know the specific rules. You can't argue with the win though.

'Left the field without permission', he was splattered over the line by Buffon, I don't think he had much say in wether he left the field or not.

Re: The Euro 2008 thread
I knew you had to have permission to go onto the field after injury, why would you need permission to go off the field?
Holland deserved the win.....just.
