Good luck today everyone, I so wanted to come down for the protest but the surgery last Monday put the stop on that.

As the BT AGM goes ahead, in the midst of all the controversy about Phorm and Webwise, I took a look at the corporate BTplc website for a peek their values statement.
http://www.btplc.com/Thegroup/Compan.../Ourvalues.htm
I publish it here without comment (although I have added comments on the BT Beta forums webwise thread)

Our vision, strategy & values

Our vision

Our vision is to be dedicated to helping customers thrive in a changing world. The world we live in and the way we communicate are changing, and we believe in progress, growth and possibility. We want to help all our customers make their lives and businesses better with products and services that are tailored to their needs and easy to use.

This means getting ever closer to customers, understanding their lifestyles and their businesses, and establishing long-term relationships with them.

We're passionate about customers and are working to meet the needs they have today and innovating to meet the needs they will have tomorrow.
Our strategy

We build long-term partnerships with our customers. With their support, we can maximise the potential of our traditional business, through a combination of enhanced quality of service, creative marketing, innovative pricing and cost efficiency. At the same time, we'll pursue profitable growth by migrating our customers to new wave products and services, such as ICT (information communications technology), broadband, mobility and managed services.
Our values

Our corporate identity defines the kind of company we are now and the one we need to be in the future.

Central to that identity is a commitment to create ways to help customers thrive in a changing world. To do this we must live our brand values:
  • Trustworthy - we do what we say we will
  • Helpful - we work as one team
  • Inspiring - we create new possibilities
  • Straightforward - we make things clear
  • Heart - we believe in what we do

We are committed to contributing positively to society and to a sustainable future. This is part of the heart of BT.

If you feel you have received excellent service from someone in BT and that they have exemplified the BT values, why not tell us about it so that we can ensure outstanding performance becomes business as usual.

Good luck all, shake a protest sign once for me.
I will be checking in regularly on the badphorm and nodpi sites to check for updates and if any one has any requests during the day I will do my best to help out.
Look forward to any media coverage that happens.

Hello,
I'm a reporter for the Register.co.uk - was hoping to get down to the protest but am stuck in the office.
Any chance Alex or someone else at the protest could give me a call and let me know what's going on?

I have just received a very similar PDF letter via e-mail dated 16/7/2008 in response to my complaint in June.

Just returned from holiday.
Good luck to all at the protest today.

I'm disappointed to see that so far only The Register has picked up the news of the protest. As much as I love 'el Reg', it's not the mainstream press coverage that we need.

At least the BT shareholders are being informed.

Well done to those at the protest

Well its seem the AGM is overunning, not sure if it because of phorm/webwise questions being asked !!

I will be back down when I finish today at around 1530 ish.
