For the last 3 weeks they have been offering the 2 MB cable connection for the same £24.99 a month. (1 Gig d/load limit per day). For some reason it appears to be a well kept secret from existing customers... that you have to ask for the upgrade...

Not really a well kept secret. It was revealed months ago on here (and on Digitalspy) and I got a note in my bill last month advising me of the upgrade.

It is obivously useless posting any information of this forum it appears some non intelligent assholes just love to rip it appart..........BTW it does not cost people a penny to be civil, if they do not have anything constructive to say then they should kindly keep their mouths shut. .......It is not BS as one poster put.. and I am not a troll, what ever that is and no I dont work for NTL...... .... I did contact NTL Customer Services today and the person at the other end of the telephone did upgrade the account to 2MB within 10 minutes and the NTL agent did also tell me the automatic upgrades for the whole service would take anythng up to 6 months, these are NTL's words not mine...
I was only relating the information .....
so dont shoot the messanger....OK

Perhaps in future you might also learn to be polite and civil in your posts, if not they will be edited/removed.

Not to get OT but I feel someone needs to stick up for the joker He/she was being civil until everyone else ripped into him/her so it is a little unfair for you to just label him/her uncivil
I do hope you don't disagree with me and start calling me uncivil
By the way I've only replied because the joker has paid me to
The problem with forums is it is difficult to get your exact opinion across without managing to upset one or two people in the process because unless you plaster your posts with the right smilies in the right place some people might take offence or even start insulting your lack of 'on the ballness'
I really wasn't paid any money just in case people can't read into this post that I am being slightly sarcastic It's just late and I'm bored and I've got nothing better to do
 let's all calm down and
anyway everyone.

Unless an existing 750Kb customers asks for the upgrade to be done immediatly they could wait for another 6 months and still be charged £25 for only a slower 750kbs connection.. so phone now and ASK FOR YOUR UPGRADE NOW it won't cost you penny extra for them to do the upgrade to a blisterling fast speed. They did mine in under 10 minutes of making the call.

You don't need to phone CS- just take the link from NTLWorld's Homepage to "Your Account: Upgrade your speed". It takes about 2 minutes and a reboot of the cable modem to get the increased speed to 2Mb. You do need to phone CS to get the 3Mb service.

That is assuming you are getting access through a cable modem. If you use an STB (like me), you need to phone NTL.
