shame it looks a bit slow for 10mb?

Try rebooting the modem, thats if the modem can take the new speed.

Re: Upgrade from 2 - 10 meg

update: I changed the ethernet WAN setting on my router from '100Mbps/Full Duplex' back to 'automatic' and it seems a lot happier now. So far so good! yay!

Re: Upgrade from 2 - 10 meg

I've just been upgraded from 2 to 10 meg. I was browsing CF, a page wouldn't load, re-booted the modem, and Bob's your uncle!

I'm on an NTL home 120 ambit modem and it's running 10Mb/s OK.

I paid for the upgrade to 10M from M to L, was this a mistake if this is now the entry level package? Is the upgraded 10M capped or have they put the price up?

If you have upgraded to 10Mb L then you will have a lower higher STM than 10Mb M plus PC guard Total not PC GUard basic and if you have a Virgin phone you will have a better call deal.

Re: Upgrade from 2 - 10 meg

At long last after many months of emails back and fore, I now have a download speed of just under 10mbs. I have been checking weekly on the speed test website, and was geting just over 5mbs. But today, I checked and got 9.72 mbs and that's with the 120 modem despite them telling my that I had to install the new modem they sent me!
