Which has probably got something to do with them being a South American country, which was sort of my point

Re: The Football Thread 2005/2006 Season
To be honest I reckon if Rooney hadn't got injuried in Euro 2004 England would have won it.
I was at the match on Saturday, great atmosphere. Pity about the result. When we went 2-nil down the fans were singing "We're going to win 3-2" We nearly did it as well. Should have had a pen when the keeper brought Healy - if the Welsh one was a pen - that incident was a stone wall one.

Well, November the 12th, you'll be able to judge England against Argentina as we'll be playing them in a friendly in Geneva!

How have Argentina got away with co-hosting a European tournament?

Re: The Football Thread 2005/2006 Season
Hmm I have just noticed that we are almost a quarter of the way through the season already, premiership wise that is, and poor old Everton have only scored once all season and that was away from home
