Amazon’s ad-supported video-on-demand service has now been rolled out across Apple devices. Formerly known as IMDb TV, the service is the home of a growing number of original productions.
The Amazon-Apple deal means users of Apple TV, iPads and iPhones can now access Freevee, with the service available through a dedicated app from the App Store.

Fundamentally these conglomerates will have their fingers in every pie they can find. Even if the maintain different brands.

The tender process will represent the first major rights availability since BT Sport announced plans for a merger with Warner Bros. Discovery's Eurosport in the UK.
Other interested parties could include Sky, DAZN and new streaming service Viaplay.

Let’s see if the Len get get his dirty money out of his deep pockets or whether he’s too busy plugging the existing black hole in the DAZN accounts.

Paramount’s Kramer added: “Streaming is at the forefront of the company’s strategy. We don’t hide behind that. Our biggest franchises will be on Paramount+ in the first window. But it doesn’t mean that we will not be licensing.

Nick Lee, head of acquisitions at Channel 4, told Broadcast he thinks there will be a reset in the future, under distribution of premium titles will returning to the market as studios seek to boost revenue streams and create more shareholder value, rather than solely pinning hopes on subscription models.

Not entirely sure what NBC Universal (Comcast) Strategy is with Peacock since they're still selling their content elsewhere and content is also on Sky own channels and this show was mentioned in the Peacock UK press release.
Quote:
The interest in international programming, however, has not come completely at the expense of US programming. Earlier today, Broadcast revealed that Channel 4 had picked up Peacock comedy Killing It, while three separate buyers told Broadcast they were impressed with Warner Bros. Television’s CBS cop drama East New York.

Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news
Netflix could perhaps bolster its finances by licensing some of their older shows to the TV channels. They will be about 15 years old by now, and so they shouldn’t be risking the loss of their existing subscribers in doing so.

A good idea. Perhaps more for the future as some of what we perceive as their older shows are not owned by them.

They do at the moment, muppetman, and I’ve never said otherwise.
During this transition period, it seems this would be a sensible way to go.

LaLiga TV will be remove from Prime Video from June 30th.
https://forums.digitalspy.com/discus...ment_101022769
I have seen rumour that Premier Sports has lost a UK and Northern Ireland rights to LaLiga to a yet to be name broadcaster.

Northern Ireland is still currently in the UK. Perhaps you mean Republic of Ireland?
