Re: TiVo
Does that mean that it will be rolled out to staff only then? Surely deploying to existing customers must start soon!

We are not far off now.
I know it seems like forever when you are waiting. VM are keen to make sure it's perfect for customers.

If they're waiting for Valentines day so that they have a promotion hook, that's crazy in my view.
At the risk of being fired as a foorball commentator...
I'm fairly sure more men are into the TIVO than women and more women are into Valentines day than men, so the two don't mix for a TIVO launch promotion in my view.
They should just get it out to customers ASAP
Of course, as the Valentines day is pure speculation, they may just get it out to us ASAP.
BTW, no offence meant to men or women on the forums; truth can't be offensive, can it?

It does seem like ages yes! I totally understand they want it to be perfect, and I think most customers would expect that. I think it's the silence from VM since the 1st December announcement that's getting us all wound up!
I printed out the user manual today and have had a read through it. That's just added to the waiting torture

I do admire you guys though. All these questions we're all asking and you probably know all the answers and you aren't allowed to say. That must be quite difficult, so credit to you!

I think considering the price of hard drives now, I agree with these comments. A 1tb hard drive can be bought from ebuyer for under £40, a 2tb for under £60. Think of the numbers VM buy them in....

I've been following this forum since the beginning of December and decided to join a couple of weeks ago and thought it best I should actually start posting!
The things is, when Tivo is eventually released to us all, this part of the forum will be deathly quiet as we'll all be sat glued to our boxes playing with it!

No , I didn't think it was either until 6000 staff are getting supplied before customers, I understand the 1000 staff in December but now it seems the goal posts have moved, seems like more staff than Tivo's and customers .

Re: TiVo
I can't see existing customers getting install dates of 14th Feb as Virgin would have to start ringing around soon , I wonder how many pre registered.

Re: TiVo
I think someone's got confused between the TiVO Premiere in the states which does come in two flavours (and has wireless and THX) and the Cisco-made UK VM TiVO. Everything we've heard so far indicates only a 1TB box for the UK.
