The box itself will come in two variations, standard and XL, both of which boast some pretty impressive specs including wireless G and N support, and Full HD up to 1080p. The standard box includes a 320Gb hard drive, while the XL will hold a terabyte of information, as well as possessing a THX Optimiser for fine-tuning your video and audio settings. The box also includes support for 3D TV, although Virgin has yet to announce any plans for the service.

Only DF can honestly answer that as question and I doubt it somehow.

I thought there was talk of a smaller hard drive, although still cant work out why you would make a good product into a lesser one.. my blu-ray can take upto 20 minutes to update so dont see why tivo is any different in time scale.

They have stated that at some point perhaps there will be different configurations of boxes, but for at least the foreseeable future, it will be the 1TB box only.

Yes, complete waste of time, easier to stick with one model for installation and maintenance, completely pointless the smaller hard drive when everyone hase complained about lack of space when recording in HD on the V+.

There is to much info now available for it not to be launching soon . The 6000 customers van man talks about could that be all the people who registered their interest.

Its actually the EPG data it downloads, and the fastest it has been completed as of yesterday was 18mins. Thats from engineer turning the box on to having it all up and running, and thats direct from Tivo project manager!!

Think install techs (I assume you know many jobs they do in a day) and do the maths. Whatever the procedures now are not the final ones for the full rollout.
As for the tivos with smaller hard drives, that's already public info courtesy of one of Berkett's presentations to the city bods.

That's because it's not on the headends yet because its not the full roll out - yet.
