Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
My sister has found out who are true friends are.
Last Tuesday she had surgury on her right knee (the left will be done next year) she has been told don not do stairs and keep off the feet as much as possible.
So she has been sleeping on the sofa, and thanks god that she has a downstairs loo.
Now with 2 kids to get to school her hubby has had to go into work later to drop them at school, her next door neighbour hasn't even offered, despite the fact that she has phoned my sister at the last minute to take her kids too school.
She had a friend who is coming out of his way to take them to school so that her hubby can go to work and come home and cook the evening meal.
Other friend have offered to take them to the after school activitites they do.

I hope when she is well that she remembers this person and refuses to drop everything for her as in the past.

The trouble is me and my sister have been brought up far to well, and will help.
But my sister isn't, what annoys my sister is that often the neighbour has phoned when she is in the bath, and her daughter answers, and its hard to say no.
But she will avoid were possible helping next door.

I know what you mean but you need to try and avoid where possible and I would not be surprised if she still has the cheek to ask while she is on crutches and that will give you a reason to say no.

There is a true saying " When your to good your no good". Your sister should make all the excuses under the sun when your neighbour ask for help with the kids. She will soon get the hint. Hope she is feeling better soon.

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
The funny thing with the neighbour is she is 7 weeks pregnant, and her hubby had the snip 6 weeks ago , so hopefully they have to move.

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
I seem to remember reading that there can be a delay of possibly months between the snip being carried out and the man becoming spermless. So I think it's a case of bad timing.

Unless i've read wrong she is 7 weeks pregnant so that means he had the snip 1 week after and not 1 week before.

So either way she is in the clear and not going to have to move.
It just a shame though that she can't see, or doesn't care, that her help would be appreciated by Mom3r's sister. Neighbourliness has to work both ways.
