I have a clip of Loch Lomond which I'll try to upload later. The water doesn't pile up in the same way as it does on the sea but it's still pretty wild.

Christ Chris it looks pretty rough to me and l suspect Nessie stays well down in the depths at 20,000 fathoms.

How stupid can l get as l just looked at it and thought it was a picture and l have just checked it again and it plays fine but it was certainly was a day to stay in keep warm and on bad weather my relatives certainly remember the winter last year as they had some truly terrible weather in Perth which seemed to last for a eternity.

There's more to come, according to the BBC. The Atlantic pressure charts for tomorrow and Thursday/Friday are looking pretty hairy. At the moment it looks like the high winds are tracking further south than they did last time as well.

Back in 1986 I spent 2 nights in a tent on the shores of Lock Lomond, and it wasn't that bad.

Unsurprisingly, it doesn't blow a gale every day of the week here. You would have been very unlucky to have had weather as bad as this when you visited.

Agh it's getting a bit wet and wild out there now and I have to carry all of my gear out to the car. Need to build an underground car park!

The weather in Bonnie Scotland has always been far far better than Wales, the last time I had a two week holiday there it only rained 3 times "Morning, Noon & Night"

Yes as we have had some bad storms lately and yet the TV picture was perfect throughout.
