We only have Hull's word on whether he was spitting "at" someone.
Brown has done a good job at Hull but there was clearly a large element of sour grapes.
He complained about Fabregas being on the pitch, how Fabregas was dressed (Have you seen some of your own jackets Phil?) and finally accused Fabregas of turning round and spitting at his assistant's feet. I don't think that would ever be classed as an assault even if the police had witnessed it.
Now if it was a Brian McClair nose clearance then that would have been a different matter. One of those could easily taken you feet away.
I think the best way to remove points from Arsenal would be to score more goals than them

Re: Football : Season 08/09
Contract talks finally sorted, not 100% sure if Rafa got his way though but seen as Rick Parry is off at the end of the season he probably did http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/drill...90318-2103.htm

Re: Football : Season 08/09
I think Liverpool should have waited to the end of the season. They might just end up rewarding Rafa on the basis of a league double over Utd.

Re: Football : Season 08/09
It appears that all 3 people involved will be investigated by the FA. Phil Brown for questioning the integrity of the referee, Brian Horton for (allegedly) calling Fabregas an "arrogant Spanish *something not nice*'' and Fabregas for spitting at the feet of Horton.
All a bunch of sodding children They get paid such high amounts of money, and yet we constantly hear of footballers being like teenagers. You have to ask why we bother with this sport sometimes

Re: Football : Season 08/09
Well we all know, what club will get punished, and it won't be ARSENAL, The FA are scared stiff of the big boys such as Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd.
It will be Hull that will get hit, ok the players get pots of money, but the officials are scared stiff, of the big guns and the FA will probably call the clubs and say don't do it again, they will then fine Hull to teach them a lesson.

Oh please not more of the conspiratorial clap-trap. The FA are investigating Arsenal and will decide the best course of action.

Re: Football : Season 08/09
Its a shame they dont have cameras in the tunnel. The only thing that was conclusive from the footage after the game was fabegras strutting around like a peacock, chest out, trying his best to look hard and intimidating, and very close to the hull players. That was out of order and hopefully the fa will do him on some intention of incitement charge

That's the only likely outcome - and I'd put money on a reversal of last weeks result.

Feel free to
We've got more difficult competition leading up to the final so I'm not counting my chickens just yet

Re: Football : Season 08/09
It's certainly a mouthwatering prospect. I don't think there would be much between them.
