Plans have changed and now we have the trailer for the channel showing on the Channel 4 channels saying July 20th and it will be on 432. I think you can forget it appearing on July 8th unless that's a "soft launch" for testing.

Plans have not changed that I'm aware of. Film4 are telling fibs. Although it is their channel though... It's definitely on 429 so not sure why they say different.

Sky Sports 1, 2, 3, 4 all HD
Sky Movies HD
FIVE HD
ESPN America HD
All other FIVE channels
will be available before the end of July

There will be no extra charge for any of these channels

sky seem to be playing on the fact that it is the only place to watch all football coverage in HD, so only HD 1 AND HD 2 me thinks. unfortunately

and i been told today that we will have the Red Button for Sky Sports interactive, when Sky HD Channels and move hd the same day on Launch Day .

Okay I might be asking for a bit much with Sports 3 + 4 HD, but all the rest is very much a possibility

Dear Correspondent

Thank you for your recent enquiry regarding Five HD which has been forwarded to us by Paul Leather.

This channel will launch on Tuesday 13th July on channel number 171 on Sky+ HD. The first HD programme will be the 13:45 episode of Neighbours, and the channel will be a simulcast of our main channel.

We are exploring options with regard to making Five HD available on other platforms such as the cable service provided by Virgin Media but no additional information is available at the moment.
