Everyone knows Taker will retire undefeated at VM but each year his opponent should have something about him which makes you think he might be the one to end it. It should be someone he hasn't crossed paths with before and is a credible winner. I see that in Ziggler.

Yeah, Ziggler could be a decent shout. Would require the same sort of build as Bryan though as even though the guys pretty damn talented people don't really see it.
They could segue Ziggler's current gimmick quite easily into "I'm that damn good I should end the streak". The problem being though they need to build him like crazy after how often Ryder's pinned him recently.
Don't get me wrong getting the belt off him was by far the best thing to do (it was pretty much holding him back), but he hasn't exactly came out of it looking strong.
People keep saying CM Punk, but he's probably below HHH in my list of match choices. They've wrestled a fair few times and it's always lacked that connection and understanding that turns a good match into a great one. They don't seem to work well together.

Indeed. Christian can never really be more than a midcarder with the occasional main event run now. His chance of being an established main eventer of the status needed to take on the streak sailed a long time ago. Which is unfortunate because the guy is extremely talented. He deserves something more than he has which is why I was hoping his WHC run would have been better than the joke it was (and was pretty much just a case of "lets give Christian the title because it's what Edge wants"). Guys done nothing but put others over for a long time now. He makes everyone he works with look amazing.
Some of the matches he got out of Orton were crazy.
I'd love to see Christian built up to the stage where he could be a legitimate contender for ending the streak, he's been one of my favourites for a long long time, but it's just not going to happen.
Honestly I think it's more likely that the 2nd will see a Jericho return and he'll be built up to face Undertaker.

Re: WWE
Jericho would be perfect. It's one of the worst-kept secrets that he's returning next week and it's being said he's only after a short run, so up to WM would be ideal. His crazy heel persona would be believable as someone going after the streak (I wouldn't mind betting that between now and WM there'll be a Jericho v HHH match as a "number 1 contender to end the streak") and is one of the few men left who could carry 'Taker and sell the hell out of his moves.

I read on the sun newspaper that Jericho has hunged his boots up as he was saying you woun't see him in a WWe ring again and no he woun't go to tna. As he wants to stay loyal to the WWe. I would love y2j to come back I've been a huge fan of his ever since he joined the wwf (WWe)

Re: WWE
I'm hoping for Christian/Bryan for the WHC at WM, two of my favourites and both seemingly great workers. Hopefully Punk/Austin though I can't see how either would end up in the situation and definitely Y2J/Taker for the streak.

He is coming back. What he said was he'd never wrestle for WWE again - but that was Jericho being cryptic, as WWE (at the time) didn't call their guys wrestlers, they called them performers.

Oh are they a wrestling company again now? Might have to start watching again if so.

Which part of "do not post spoilers" do you not understand?!
For crying out loud, some people

Re: WWE (no spoilers for 24 hours)
You've already posted that, so why put it in spoiler tags now??

Re: WWE (no spoilers for 24 hours)
To be fair if you've read anything WWE since 'itbegins', er, began, you knew it would be Jericho. But for other things, yeah, spoiler tags are needed.

Re: WWE (no spoilers for 24 hours)
I think most people knew it would be him but we've said in the past on here to not post spoilers for 24 hours. This time I've added it to the title
In any case, I can see a massive heel turn from him and in the coming weeks as well. He didn't say a word when he came out and wwe.com has posted clips of him backstage not saying a word either. This has all the hallmarks of a typical Jericho heel turn.
With a bit of luck we'll see him trying (and failing) to end the streak at WM - he's the only person I can see making it mean anything.

Re: WWE (no spoilers for 24 hours)
The guy making his debut on Raw last night.......what a disappointment, I HATE his gimmick, been done to death by The Godfather and Dude Love. He's got awesome ring presence so why are they wasting him like that? For a man his size he's pretty agile. Heel turn is needed urgently before he becomes a worthless jobber.
