But it won't be a problem to make it happen when UHD material is available, will it, Ben?

Sorry, nomadking, I see you were referring to Catch Up/On Demand on the main menu rather than the apps!

I wouldn't think so. If the V6 box can do iPlayer, Netflix and YouTube UHD, then it's technically capable, however I don't think the main On Demand platform will support UHD as it's too old.
Virgin are currently in a transition place as to the On Demand platform they use. Sky Cinema on Demand is on a new platform, but nothing else is yet.
So I'd think that that'll need to be completed first, but I don't know when that's going to be.

Interesting. Thanks for clarifying that, Ben.

Re: UHD on Virgin Media
Whether or not any subscriber's telly is UHD, it's well worth taking a look at the programmes on Virgin UHD channel 999. It may only occupy a relatively small number of hours each evening, but the viewing is surprisingly good, and without interruptions from advertisements. It is still viewable in HD if you don't have UHD.
Apart from the nature programmes, there are music concerts and some very good dramas, such as The Art of More, Start Up, House of Cards and Shut Eye. It's certainly got more good dramas on it than Sky Atlantic at present and yet I'm sure that many don't appreciate that. Shame the channel doesn't appear in the TV listings magazines - it would boost awareness of this channel.

Re: UHD on Virgin Media
The trouble with UHD recording wise is it takes up a lot of memory.

Re: UHD on Virgin Media
It doesn't actually say it is on VM's channel on Sunday.
It says VM will show it on Catch Up on their UHD channel.

Well, that will be a problem, as Virgin TV Ultra HD is still not available in Catch Up.
Anyway, who is going to wait to watch it in UHD after the event... people will want to watch it live.
V6 TV Guide appears to confirm that the 2018 MTV EMA will not be shown on Virgin TV Ultra HD tonight.
Typical VM.

LOL!
Almost 2 weeks later, and in the middle of the night.
Bravo VM.

It is on at 8pm on 11th November - a week later.
I have SkyQ here but will still not be watching it.
