Re: Upgrade from 2 - 10 meg
My upgrade happened this week - I was testing a wireless adaptor and the speed test went haywire (I thought) with a speed of 9.5 Meg. Since then, I get odd flashes of 8/9 Megs but normally around 2/3 and sometimes as low as 500KB/s!
I'll give it time as it's only just happened

It's not always necessary but rebooting is worth trying if you haven't yet got the Upgrade.

Re: Upgrade from 2 - 10 meg
I'm impressed as I've got at least 9MB since being upgraded however that it continues.

Re: Upgrade from 2 - 10 meg
someone mentioned that availability of 50Mb service was linked to the upgrade. i have just notice that 50Mb is now available in my area (AL10), does this mean we will get the 2Mb-10Mb upgrade soon?
have been waiting and checking for months now!
cheers
Michael

Re: Upgrade from 2 - 10 meg
I am in Harrogate HG3 and I seem to have now been upgraded. According to tests on sites like speed.io, I am now getting between 5 and 8MB. Internet browsing doesn't seem any quicker though. When I registered I was told I needed a new modem which hasn't come yet so hopefully it will be on its way soon. I have the blue modem, Maximum Downstream Data Rate shows as 10242000, Maximum Upstream Data Rate shows as 514000

Re: Upgrade from 2 - 10 meg
the blue modems (ambit 250s) are all good for 10Mbit. I'm sure i read somewhere they are good for up to 38Mbit although i cant back this up. I'm sure someone will correct me if i'm wrong

Just to clear it up for the bllionth time in this thread. You are not paying for the upgrade, it was free. The e xtra you are paying is the annual increase in your subscription
