PS. United were rubbish today but I am still a happy bunny. Oldham Athletic beat Plymouth 4-1 and in the 3rd Div, Rochdale won whilst York & Carlisle lost.

.. Seriously though, if you get the chance take a look at some matches from the late 60's through to the 80's. It is not for the faint hearted, but Pele and Best still shone through. I feel that if Henry had to face the kind of defender that those two did, he would have taken his ball home long ago.

Re: Football talk
Rubbish the game changes just because its not the same as your day does not take any thing away from the current players. Its easy to look back though rose tinted glasses.
Anyway you are NEVER allowed to tackle from behind or without the ball and with henry you have to be fast just to do that. Look at the 4th goal he got tripped but as he fell he just pushed the ball up with his foot as he was falling into the goal. Brillliance

AFC Wimbledon
To all those Arsenal fans that think they are doing well, when you go 39 league games unbeaten have a goal difference of +129 come and talk football to the lads of AFC Wimbledon.
Lets not forget this is the team which was formed last season by the unhappy supporters of Wimbledon FC, they were unhappy abt the fact that the club was relocating to Milton Keynes. In only their second season in existance they are now runaway champions of the Combined Counties League with 111pts How many season before they play the other Wimbledon and overtake them in the leagues... Not only are they playing well they still get between 2 and 3 thousand at each home game which is just fantastic to see, especially to with all those people that said they would never last.
For those of you that don't believe me click here to see the league table and here to see the attendances they have been getting.
I give the other Wimbledon 3 years before they go out of business, serves them right as well. Let that be a lesson to every other club, keep the club where its roots are or die...

I wouldn't bet against them going up again next season as well, they are simply a different class to teams in their league at the moment and will be next season as well another 6 - 0 win yesterday as well
Give them 7 years and they will be in the football league

Re: Football talk
Clubs now the target of terrorist attack
A packed football stadium could have been the target of an al Qaida attack, it emerged today, as 10 people arrested in anti-terror raids were being questioned by police.
Suicide bombers may have been planning to attack Old Trafford and the City of Manchester football grounds, according to reports.
